About the print:

The three prints were taken from a collection of acrylic paintings by Jorge Gutierrez on display now at 2nd Floor in Huntington Beach.

"These 57 acrylic paintings are my passionate love letter to the amazing bootleg artifacts and crap sold at the Tijuana/US border. In Mexico we are endlessly bombarded with pop culture from all over the world, especially the US and Japan. I love that the border artisans and shysters digests all this and spit it back out to sell to both the Tijuana locals and tourists from all over the world.

They have made these things uniquely their own and many times improved or reconfigured them to express themselves or empower these things with subversive ideas hidden under corporate paint coats. I'm now honored to be a part of this community and tradition."
