  • Promote your product on wood

Why promote your non-ordinary product in a ordinary way?  The idea is to stand out above other products and catch the eye of the consumer.  Oatly, the latest and greatest oat milk that is making it's debut in America had the right idea.  Oatly reached out to us to print custom wood signs for coffee shops throughout United States that carry their fabulous milk product.

This small sign carries a big message and is easy to place on a shelf, near the register or on a ledge in any coffee establishment.

So what is the new craze that has hit the US market?  This Swedish oat milk has taken 25 years to create and perfect and it taste amazing!  Now your coffee will be raised to a whole level of deliciousness.  "The idea behind Oatly was to find a way to make a nutritious liquid product for people who just didn’t like cow’s milk or were unwilling to use it for personal reasons. Today, the concept of producing a drink directly from oats instead of first feeding oats to a cow and letting the cow process them into milk is an option but back when we started in the 1990's most people thought we were totally crazy. That’s okay, we are happy to be right where we are now making quality liquid oat products for you to enjoy. Thank you very much."

What is great is that Oatly wanted to promote its natural product on a natural product, wood.  It's simple, yet profound. These wood signs come with a stand slot in the back and are lightweight, easy to move around and easy to keep clean.

Look for these signs next time you are out getting your caffeine fix.  A new way to enhance your latte has just arrived, the Oatly way.

  • Google Indie Games Festival- Award plaques

Looking for a new way to create a trophy or plaque?  Prints on Wood has a solution - Wood Prints!  Wood prints are an innovative way to present an award that won't be just another trophy sitting on a shelf collecting dust.  Since innovation is what the Google Indie Games Festival is all about, they came to the right place for some awesome award plaques.

This portrait style wood print was printed on birch wood with a bright white finish which allows the wood grain to show through.  As you can see, this collectible art piece looks so nice on wood, there is no frame needed.

So what is the Google Indie Festival?

"GBM (producer of Gamasutra.com and the Game Developers Conference) established the Independent Games Festival in 1998 to encourage innovation in game development and to recognize the best independent game developers."

"We wanted to create a similar event to Sundance for independent game developers - and that's just what we've succeeded in doing with the Independent Game Festival which has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash prizes (and brought major exposure and a much higher profile) to a multitude of indie and student game developers who have entered."

For more information about this cool festival, go to www.igf.com.   They have announced the 2018 Finalist that will receive this super cool award.

    Whereabouts of God #23

Lets learn a little about this artist. Sparkling and sweet, Hikari Shimoda’s work is at once enchanting and disarming, portraying a world where cuteness and horror coexist. Based in Nagano, Japan, Shimoda first studied illustration at the prestigious Kyoto Saga University of Art and Aoyama Juku School before beginning her career as a professional contemporary artist in 2008. Soon after, she was selected for her first solo exhibition at Motto Gallery in Tokyo and has since held exhibitions in galleries worldwide, including Japan, the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Here are some other photos of Hikari's art pieces.  Her art pieces can be found on Pinterest and Instagram and there are many to see and enjoy.

This is our first artist release of Hikari's work and we are so excited to offer this print to the art lovers who follow and appreciate her work.  Don't wait, the clock is ticking....only 25 pieces available, this custom artist print will for sure blow out the door!!

  • Above the grain

What makes wood prints so appealing to the eye is the natural wood grain that shows through. This feature enhances the artfulness of one's print that will last for many years.  How do we do this? By printing an image directly on the wood itself...lets take a look.

This beautiful print was printed on our 100% birch wood in landscape orientation.  Amazing!  The colors show through so clearly and the natural wood grain looks perfect with the couple's natural background, the ocean.

Not just your ordinary champion trophy here.  This shield was also printed on our birch wood with a vintage matte finish (raw wood finish) and the final touches of cutting it into shape.  I love how the wood grain gives this trophy a rustic, masculine look.

Here is another stunning wood print that shows off all the details of this country style home.  This image was printed on our hand cut and hand sanded birch wood and they added a natural gloss finish.  I love how the sepia tone meshed with the wood grain gives this custom wood print a vintage look.  Now that you have seen the options available for direct wood printing, you can get started with your custom wood print order.  No two pieces of wood are the same so each wood print truly is a one of a kind. Ready, set, print!

  • Hang with Hangar24

Hangar24 Craft Brewery is located in Redlands, California and has been around for years! They recently reached out to us with a special project… recreating their flight trays! Many breweries have very standard looking flight trays and Hangar24 wanted something more unique to their brand. If you aren’t too familiar with what a flight is, it’s simply a sampling of several drinks. Most companies offer a flight option to enable their customers to try a bit of everything they have to offer. It’s a great way to introduce more of your products.

Photo Courtesy of Huy. Y (Yelp)

Here is a photo of Hangar24’s flight current flight tray. It gets the job done but it’s not very unique and doesn’t say much about their brand. It could be anyone’s flight! If someone posted this photo onto their Instagram, you wouldn’t know where they got it from because it doesn’t say anything about Hangar24.

Our team worked with an idea that Hangar24 presented for their new, improved flight tray and brought it to life. The new flight tray is designed around their logo. In fact, the entire top of the flight tray is the logo! The shape is different than anything you’ve seen before. Hangar24 was created with the passion for good beer and a love for flying so of course their flight tray should have wings! Our team printed their logo onto wood and had it cut to form the shape of their logo. Then holes were cut for the drinks and slits were cut to hold informational cards about the drinks offered in the flight.

On the bottom of the flight tray we have four pegs holding it up. Very simple idea but the wood design makes the flight tray look extremely clean and matches Hangar24’s brand well.

Here is the completed flight tray with glasses in it! This is just our first run of the custom wood project. We still have a few things to clean up and a few more adjustments to make to the tray, but we are very satisfied with the outcome so far. Will definitely be posting photos of the finished product when it is complete. Don’t forget to go ahead and check them out yourselves when we finish them at Hangar24! Take lots of photos and send them our way!

  • Coachella Wrap Up

It has to be done. I know you don’t want to let go but it’s time. We don’t either, we worked so hard on Coachella and we want our work to be cherished and loved forever. But it’s been weeks since Coachella has happened and it’s finally time to wrap it up. Before we say bye and let go of the good times, let’s go through some photos from our work this year to reminiscence.

The iconic ferris wheel and line up poster. Did you really go to Coachella if you didn’t get a photo with these things?! Hope our line up posters were helpful when deciding who you wanted to see next. We print these out every year when we help out with Coachella signage, it’s a must! With only so many days and hours to live up Coachella, planning ahead is necessary.

Ahh yes, food. Coachella is filled to the brim with delicious food and drinks for you to try. I bet you tried some of the best food during your visit to Coachella. You have us to thanks for the signage! How would you know where anything was if it wasn’t for our signs. We did so many food signs, you wouldn’t even believe it. For a lot of the food signs we had to produce a sign AND die-cut letter to go on top of the sign to really make them pop.

Our street signs! The amount of these coroplast street signs we produced was endless. But hopefully they helped everyone out a bunch around the venue! We saw a ton of photos from camping that had our street signs in them. So glad everyone loved them!

Lastly we have set time signage! When to be at which stage to catch your favorite artist. Did you take a look at any of these?! I’m sure you did! They are huge and insanely helpful when trying to decide who to see next.

Well, that’s it. Our trip down memory lane has ended. Until next year Coachella! Unless… you have some photos you want to show us. Send it our way! #chella4ever

Jeff Gillette paintings often examine the aesthetic structures and visual patterns of human settlement. We have worked with Gillette before on another print you may have seen. The print was called, Castle Slum and also was a print that involved Disney. Unfortunately, this print is now sold out so if I were you, I would jump on the chance to purchase his new print before it sells out!

  • Artist Spotlight: Nick Walker

I’m sure that you’ve seen at least one of our collaborations with artist, Nick Walker. We have had the pleasure of working with Walker a couple of times and each time has been amazing! If you didn’t know, Walker is one of the world’s best known street artists. He always tries to remain as innovative as possible while being modern and thought-provoking as well. His graffiti is a result of very controlled and intricate stenciling but he doesn’t forget to channel the high energy of graffiti as well!

A couple years ago we had the honor of producing Walker’s piece, Painting the Town Red / Hong Kong Street Scene Two. Only 25 of these prints were produced! They were extremely limited and were highly desired because of the how highly sophisticated yet modern the print is. Not to mention, the print was signed by Walker himself!

Recently, we had the opportunity to work with Walker once again! This exclusive print is called Vandal vs Louboutin. It is another extremely limited print with only 50 prints available! These prints are also signed by Nick Walker and are available on our site right now. Hopefully you’ll be able to snag one of these prints before they are gone forever!
